Pledges to work toward a SAFER, STRONGER, and SMARTER community Northeast Shelby County, Tennessee – Mick Wright has declared his candidacy for the Shelby County Commission in District 3, which represents Bartlett, Lakeland, and parts of Raleigh. The primary election will be May 1 with early voting beginning April 11-26. “I am pleased to announce my candidacy for the Shelby County Commission in District 3. I feel strongly that this part of the county needs an effective and vocal advocate who shares our values. Many challenges will come before us over the next four years, and I pledge to work toward a SAFER, STRONGER, and SMARTER community.” Wright said improving public safety, strengthening the local economy, and supporting public education were his primary goals, while holding the line on taxes and spending.
